Seven Bulldogs reached double figures: Jake Wilkins 15, Blue Cain 14, Kanon Catchings 14, Justin Bailey 13, Marcus Millender 11, Kareem Stagg 10. Georgia shot 56% from the field, hit 17-of-37 from three, and went 19-for-26 at the free-throw line. Morehead State was led by George Marshall’s 17 points and Jon Carroll’s 13 points, nine rebounds. Georgia extends its 30-game home winning streak against non-conference opponents at Stegeman Coliseum. The Bulldogs face their first power-conference test Friday against Georgia Tech before traveling to the Charleston Classic next weekend.

Cain, Wilkins lead Georgia past UMES 94-29 ATHENS, Ga. — Blue Cain and Jake Wilkins scored 16 points each as Georgia dominated Maryland Eastern Shore 94-29 Wednesday night. Cain added seven rebounds and four 3-pointers, while Wilkins contributed six boards and was perfect from the free-throw line. Kanon Catchings posted 14 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks, and Jeremiah Wilkerson had 12 points with six assists. Georgia (2-0) controlled the boards 53-40, forced 31 turnovers, and converted fast-break opportunities into easy points. The Bulldogs shot 31-of-76 overall, including 8-of-40 from three, while UMES struggled from the field, making 11-of-55 overall and 1-of-18 from deep.

Georgia limited Alabama State to 44 points, the fewest allowed by the Lady Bulldogs in a season opener in seven years. They then held Furman to just 23% shooting, the lowest opponent shooting percentage since Coach ABE’s debut season in 2022-23 against Jacksonville State.

Georgia cruises past Furman, 91-45 ATHENS, Ga. — Dani Carnegie scored 19 points and led five double-digit scorers as Georgia dominated Furman 91-45 Thursday at Stegeman Coliseum. The sophomore guard went 5-of-8 from three-point range and added eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Trinity Turner and Enjulina Gonzales each had 11 points, while Mia Woolfolk and Zhen Craft added 10 apiece. The Bulldogs shot 49.3% from the field, hit 7-of-15 from three, outscored Furman 44-12 in the paint, and turned 26 turnovers into 26 points. Georgia built a 25-13 first-quarter lead and extended it with a 31-7 second quarter to take control at halftime.
