LSU Weighs Redshirt Option for Quarterback Michael Van Buren BATON ROUGE, La. — LSU interim coach Frank Wilson says the Tigers are evaluating whether quarterback Michael Van Buren should use a redshirt this season. Van Buren, a former Mississippi State transfer, has played in three games and can appear in one more without losing redshirt eligibility. Wilson stressed the decision will depend on his ability to contribute to the team’s success. “Michael’s no different than anyone else,” Wilson said. “If he can help us win, that’s what we want him to do, because he has tremendous value to our team.”

Over Two Dozen Players Suspended After Grambling State–Bethune-Cookman Halftime Brawl Grambling, La. — Grambling State’s win over Bethune-Cookman on Saturday was overshadowed by a large fight that erupted during halftime.
