The South Carolina women's basketball team handed Vanderbilt its first loss of the season in Sunday's 103-74 dominating performance. UConn is the only undefeated team remaining in women's college basketball. South Carolina's win avenged Thursday's 94-82 overtime loss to No. 16 Oklahoma. It was an all-around performance for South Carolina, which led by double figures most of the night. The Gamecocks shot 62% from the field and went 10-17 from 3, for 59%. The Gamecocks were led by senior Ta'Niya Latson, who finished with 21 points. Junior guard Tessa Johnson finished with 20 points and went 4-of-7 from 3. This was Johnson's fourth straight game scoring in double figures. Mississippi State transfer Madina Okot could not be denied in the paint, going 8-for-9 for 17 points. Indiana capped a perfect season with the first national championship in program history, holding off Miami 27-21 in the CFP title game Monday night in Miami Gardens, Florida. Fernando Mendoza delivered the defining moment of the night. The Heisman Trophy winner dropped his shoulder into a defender, spun to stay upright, steadied himself with a hand on the turf, then dove across the goal line for a highlight-reel touchdown that felt pulled straight from a movie script. That score sealed the victory and completed an unbeaten run that few thought possible. For a program that had spent nearly 140 years mired in losses and anonymity, Indiana’s rise to the top ended with a championship that once seemed unimaginable.

Three weeks of twists, rumors, and backstage tension finally reached a breaking point in Oxford — and the ending was as chaotic as expected. Sources, including On3’s Chris Low, now confirm that Lane Kiffin is heading to Baton Rouge as LSU’s next head coach. Kiffin’s move comes in the middle of an Ole Miss season with real College Football Playoff implications, making him the first coach of a playoff-caliber team to take another job before competing for a national title. His departure stretched deep into the weekend as Kiffin and Ole Miss officials worked through scenarios tied to a potential SEC Championship bid and a CFP spot.
