1st Half Summary
South Carolina set the tone immediately after electing to receive the opening kickoff. On the first play from scrimmage, L. Sellers connected with J. Sellers for a 75-yard touchdown, giving the Gamecocks an electric 7–0 start.
Following a Coastal Carolina punt, South Carolina marched 74 yards in six plays, capping the drive with another touchdown. The two-point attempt was unsuccessful, but the Gamecocks extended their lead to 13–0 with nine minutes remaining in the first quarter.
On the Chanticleers’ next possession, T. Hudson was stripped, and South Carolina recovered at the Coastal 29-yard line. The short field led to another touchdown, pushing the lead to 20–0 with 7:27 left in the opening quarter.
After several exchanged punts, the Gamecocks added to their advantage with a short 3-yard touchdown pass from Sellers to D. Murph, making it 27–0 with nine minutes left in the half.
Another Coastal three-and-out set up an 80-yard, five-play South Carolina scoring drive, highlighted by a 5-yard touchdown run by Sellers to extend the lead to 34–0 with five minutes remaining.
Coastal’s missed field goal on the next possession allowed South Carolina one more opportunity before halftime. USC moved the ball to set up a 47-yard field goal as time expired, taking a commanding 37–0 lead into the break.

2nd Half Summary
Coastal Carolina’s opening red-zone drive of the second half ended with a turnover on downs, and South Carolina capitalized. The Gamecocks assembled a 13-play, 83-yard touchdown drive, finished by a 1-yard run up the middle by tight end B. Hunt to extend the lead to 44–0.
The Chanticleers broke through in the fourth quarter, when T. Jameson returned a blocked punt 17 yards for a touchdown, cutting the deficit to 44–7 with 9:37 remaining.
South Carolina responded with a clock-draining possession, chewing more than seven minutes off the clock before B. Dunn punched in a 1-yard touchdown run. The score pushed the Gamecocks’ lead to 51–7 with under two minutes left, sealing the dominant victory.
